The AMP Summit: Conversation on the Revolution
We called it a revolution. The people-powered movement fueled by the Internet and technology has forever changed the world of activism + media + politics. The goal of AMP Summit is to explore the ongoing, distributed conversation about this revolution – www.ampsummit.com
On September 23-25, thought leaders and influential minds in the activist, media and political spheres will gather together in Washington, DC to discuss the revolution of the people-powered movement fueled by the Internet and technology.
The two-day summit, organized by David All Group, includes an impressive lineup of speakers and an agenda covering how-to, case studies, labs and roundtable discussions – and of course time to network outside of the boardroom. Keynote speakers include Josh Williams, CEO and co-founder of Gowalla, and Joe Trippi, a widely recognized and influential strategist in American politics. Other members of the Leadership Committee include Jerome Armstrong, Robert Bluey, Peter Corbett, Peter Greenberger, Todd Herman, Bruce Mehlman, Leslie Sanchez, and Jonah Seiger.
You will have the opportunity to learn how to use technology for better outreach, engage women and moms, and the impact of emerging media. Case studies will review a global perspective on digital diplomacy, how traditional and direct media unite, and modernizing government through building a digital democracy. Speakers will share their thoughts on real-time journalism, “news” in the Internet era, social mobilization and online fundraising, bridging the DC – Silicon Valley divide and much more. Labs will help you identify and engage your influencers, discuss rich media, and the science of social media marketing. Review the full agenda for additional engaging topics.
The conference and networking expo will be hosted at the Washington Marriott at Metro Center, with the official AMP Summit Party sponsored by AOL at Georgetown’s exclusive L2 Lounge. Tickets are available at a special discounted rate for my social networks. Options include student, government, full conference or networking only. Looking forward to seeing you there!
