March Notes From The Editor

Today I was honored to be awarded the virtual title of Best Local Tweeter 2011, as nominated by Metromix DC and voted by peers. This comes less than two months after a peer nomination and winning vote as ‘DC’s Favorite Nightlife Insider on Twitter’ on Washingtonpost.com. Coupled with the relaunch of my blog as an events website, it’s been a grrrreat week and a brilliant start to 2011. I would be remiss if I did not mention two talented gentlemen who contributed to the redesign:

• Brandt Mandrier of Brandt Designs for pouring his love and obsession of font into my logo for DCeventjunkie (and Social Zest)
• Bill Cunnane of Metro Design Works for designing the relaunch of DCeventjunie.com and putting up with my hundreds of emails and particularities on every minute detail!

…And here we are in March already, how did that happen? Busy month of travel ahead starting with the Small Business Tech Summit in New York and SXSW in Austin next week; followed by BlogHer’s BET Conference in Cupertino – my first trip to Silicon Valley! As I try to keep @DCeventjunkie tweets local, please tune into @LisaByrne for live event tweets from conferences of this nature. HOWEVER, I will certainly be back in DC for my happy dance day, St. Paddys! Stay tuned for a special post on where the find the real green on March 17th.
