Luxury in Los Cabos Mexico
Los Cabos, Mexico, is one of my all-time favorite vacation spots. Something about escaping to the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula for magnificent beaches, luxury accommodations and delicious seafood makes Cabo, as the area is commonly referred to, equal a close-to-perfect beach vacation. I’m apparently not the only one who loves Cabo, as celebs and A-listers are frequently photographed frolicking on its beaches or sunbathing on its shores. Oprah even owns a gorgeous estate on the beach in Cabo!
First, start an uber-luxury beach trip to Cabo off right by reserving a spacious suite, casita or villa at the ultra-chic, secluded Esperanza resort. Esperanza was built directly into rocky bluffs of Ballena Point, offering unparalleled views of the Sea of Cortez throughout the tranquil resort. As a guest, enjoy their private beach, onsite art and sculpture gallery, award-winning spa and world-class dining along with exceptional service. Esperanza also allows guests to release and renew with their complimentary daily yoga classes. Weekly events at the luxury resort cater to all ages from themed nights to tequila tastings. Private dining on the beach can be arranged to celebrate a special occasion or simply a romantic dinner for two.
Cabo is not only attractive to those seeking privacy or a little R&R. The beachfront paradise features an unrivaled party scene of bars, lounges and nightclubs, which makes Cabo a frequent venue for many traveler’s birthday blowouts or bachelor/bachelorette bashes. International hotspot Nikki Beach even has spectacular beach club location at the all-inclusive beachside resort, ME Cabo. Everyday beginning at noon, DJs spin the latest hits and bartenders mix up fruity cocktails while the pool fills up with guys and girls enjoying the view of the ocean – and each other. Nikki Beach hosts weekly special events like fashion shows and themed pool parties with rotating celebrity DJs.
For those serious about their seafood and their fishing, Cabo is famous worldwide for sport fishing and mouth-watering dishes. Restaurants line the beaches and avid fishermen bring in their daily catches to be filleted, sautéed or broiled. I had the pleasure of experiencing on-the beach dining at a local favorite, The Office, the last time I visited Cabo. It’s known for an exceptional menu of Baja favorites like gigantic shrimp and an incredible location directly on Medano Beach. Another popular dining spots is Mi Casa, an authentic Mexican restaurant tucked away on a cobblestone street in the historic part of Cabo San Lucas. Mi Casa is a uniquely fun, eclectic and interesting restaurant filled in every nook and cranny with bright Mexican artwork and collectibles. The several dining areas feature a live mariachi band, street performers and dancers for guest’s enjoyment. Don’t leave without sampling or buying tequila from their expansive tequila menu.
