Videology DC Presents All About Audio: The Secret Ingredient in Awesome Web Video

Did you miss the inaugural event for Videology DC? Well, it’s time to redeem yourself and catch up on what you’re missing! Videology DC is a monthly workshop founded by Raymond Schillnger and Justin Gutwein, “two filmmakers united by a common passion for storytelling through a lens and a deep-seated distaste for bad web video”. Their goal is to provide clear and easy tactics for producing high quality web video on a low-cost budget. Hourly workshops are held once a month at various locations around DC, with each event featuring a guest speaker and focusing on different aspects of web video production.

The second event in this educational series is All About Audio: The Secret Ingredient in Awesome Web Video. Why audio? Videology DC tells us not to underestimate the power of audio. While poor video can be more easily edited, it’s a tad more difficult with audio.

“We’ll tackle the challenges of recording audio, whether you are planning to conduct interviews, record a live performance, or simply do a voiceover. We’ll also provide recommendations for the best equipment to dramatically improve your audio quality – without dramatically increasing your budget. And, as usual, we’ll do plenty of demonstrations!”
