Reston Residents Gear Up for Annual Jazz and Blues Festival
The normal hustle and bustle sounds of the Reston Town Center area will be replaced this weekend with the smooth sounds of jazz and blues. Come rain or shine, the 5th Annual Lake Anne Plaza Jazz and Blues Festival will take place in the waterfront plaza this Saturday for music lovers all over the northern Virginia area.
The festival’s theme, Brazilian Jazz, will feature lead Latin vocalist Cissa Paz and be accompanied with scheduled performances by Rashida Jolley, Veronneau and many more. Not only will the audience get great eight hours of uninterrupted jazz and blues music, but regional arts and crafts vendors will also have displays from 1 to 4 p.m. Yet it gets better…Lake Anne restaurants, along with local wineries and breweries, will include signature foods for those enjoying the day-long festivities.
Sponsored by the Lake Anne Merchants, Friends of Lake Anne, Reston Community Center, Reston Art Gallery and more, this free festival will benefit the Explore More Arts Program of GRACE (Greater Reston Arts Center).
