Videology 3 – Setting Up the Perfect Shot: Angle & Lighting
Videology DC is a monthly workshop founded by Raymond Schillnger and Justin Gutwein, “two filmmakers united by a common passion for storytelling through a lens and a deep-seated distaste for bad web video”. Their goal is to provide clear and easy tactics for producing high quality web video on a low-cost budget. Hourly workshops are held once a month at various locations around DC, with each event featuring a guest speaker and focusing on different aspects of web video production.
The third event in this educational series is Setting Up the Perfect Shot: Angle & Lighting.
“In previous Videology sessions, we’ve covered the basics of equipment and getting crystal clear audio. Now we’re turning our attention to the crux of good videography: the shot! We’ll cover the basics of how to make your subjects look better on camera using the core techniques of proper angle and proper lighting. As always, we will focus on the cost-effective strategies that work in the real world.”
