Bishop Boutique Comes to Old Town Alexandria
Like all women, I love shoes. So when I met Kelly Ferenc less than a year ago, I was intrigued by her vision to bring a shoe boutique to the DC area. With the recent opening of Bishop Boutique, Kelly’s vision is now a reality – a haven for fashionistas looking for shoe, jewelry and scarf picks not commonly found in department stores.
Nestled in Old Town Alexandria, Bishop Boutique already has a major following of women of all ages. With its chic lighting fixtures, intricate jewelry case design and comfortable elegance, the boutique personifies retail bliss and gives the illusion of shopping in a celebrity’s closet. Isn’t that every girls dream?! It’s certainly one of mine, and once I started shopping I didn’t want to leave.
Bishop Boutique carries a wide variety of designers that Kelly has fallen in love with over the years including Mark and James, Loeffler Randall, Elaine Turner, Hyla Dewitt, Matt Bernson, Ilse Jacobsen, Kate Waltman, and Julie Collection. The jewelry collection is one-of-a-kind, and even the decorations are note-worthy – I couldn’t help but be drawn to the modern deer antlers that serve as her scarf display.
In addition to having a vision for distinctive merchandise, Kelly also has an eye for business and supporting worthwhile causes. For that reason, from now until November 13th patrons participating in the National Race to End Women’s Cancer – taking place November 6th in Washington — will receive a 20% discount on merchandise. Just make sure to show your race bib or registration information.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. Bishop Boutique’s Grand Opening will be Saturday, October 22nd from 11am-1pm at 815B King St. Alexandria, VA. Offering coffee, orange juice, brunch bites, and champagne, the boutique will be offering all-day sales events. At noon, Alexandria officials will be holding an official ribbon cutting ceremony.
