Chanukah on the Ellipse 2011
Join a welcoming community for the lighting ceremony of the National Chanukah Menorah on the National Mall. Bring a blanket, hot chocolate, and your friends and family to enjoy the joyous ceremony while listening to the United States Marine Band.

25th Annual MatzoBall
For the singles out there, check out the 25th Annual MatzoBall to mingle and network with Jewish D.C. singles in the area for the holidays! Presented by the Society of Young Jewish Professionals, the MatzoBall provides guests with the opportunity to drink, dance, and be merry while creating long-lasting friendships and potential romantic relationships! Wear your club attire…because dancing is definitely going to happen.

Dance Place Kwanzaa Celebration
Dance Place’s annual Kwanzaa Celebration will feature West African dance company Coyaba Dance Theater, students of Coyaba Academy and special guests Urban Artistry as they join together for a Kwanzaa extravaganza! Be a part of the festivities and sell your family-friendly or African items. Come learn about the seven principles of Kwanzaa and enjoy an exciting traditional experience unlike any other.

Norwegian Christmas at Union Station
Join the Norwegian Embassy as the 8,000 lights on Washington’s official holiday tree are lit! Even better… you’ll be entertained by live musical performances and a surprisingly impressive model train display. The tree and decorations will be shown through January 3, 2011. D.C. officials accept this 30-foot tree from the Norwegian Embassy and people of Norway.
