Foodies Wanted! Monica Bhide eBook Launch at Fiola
Notable cook and author Monica Bhide started a series on her blog, A Life of Spice, earlier this year titled “In Conversation with Exceptional Women” in which she interviewed women who inspired her not only for their own accomplishments but for what they inspire in others. Bhide has now turned a collection of these pieces into her first ebook.
Fiola, Fabio Trabocchi’s Penn quarter trattoria is hosting the launch of this ebook on Friday December 2nd. The luncheon will be attended by six prominent DC women who are featured in the book;
- Aviva Goldfarb: cookbook author and creator of the Six O’clock Scramble.
- Bethanne Patrick: Author, and host of The Book Studio, a part of PBS
- Nycci Nellis: Radio show host, Foodie and the Beast and publisher and founder of TheListAreYouOnIt.com
- Carla Hall: Host of The Chew on ABC
- Vivian Schiller: Chief Digital Offer, NBC News
- Joan Nathan: New York Times columnist and best selling cookbook author
For $40 per person (inclusive of tax and gratuity) guests will enjoy Fiola’s prix-fixe lunch special, “Maria’s Light Menu” and receive a copy of the e-book.
Monica Bhide is the author of three cookbooks including “The Spice is Right: Easy Indian Cooking for Today”, “The Everything India Cookbook”, and “Modern Spice”. Additionally she writes freelance for The New York Times; Food & Wine; Cooking Light; Bon Appetit; SELF and others.
