New York Food and Wine Experience at Northside Social Coffee & Wine

| 01/02/2012

Need to brush up on your oenology skills? I know I do! Join winemaker & Brooklyn Oenology founder Alie Sharper, along with Northside Social Coffee and Wine’s resident Sommelier Alison Christ for a casual and fun wine tasting with some New York flare.

Take part in the wine tasting and mingle with a couple of very wine savvy ladies for $40 per person including five wines and New York influenced small plates.

Brooklyn Oenology (otherwise known as ‘BOE’), is a woman-owned winery based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. BOE works to present the flavor of the North East region by sourcing grapes exclusively from New York State vineyards and then managing the wine making from harvest through press to fermentation, tank and/or barrel storage, and finally into the bottle that they distribute themselves.  BOE is a noteworthy part of the Brooklyn and New York City culinary scene and they’re bringing their flavor to DC.

In just one event you can learn more about wine, support female run businesses, shop small and local(ish), and support a community focused coffee shop that features and supports local artists. It’s a no brainer.
