Logan Tavern to Deck the Walls Green for Paddy’s Day

Logan Tavern to Deck the Walls Green for Paddy’s Day

| 02/18/2012

It’s a rare partying soul not reveling in all things Irish on St. Patrick’s Day — specifically the sport of drinking, which apparently the world thinks we have mastered. Wear green and choose from a free appetizer, dessert, or Stoli doly shot…If you’re thinking that now’s the time to check out their Warm Bittersweet Chocolate Fudge Cake you’ve been drooling over I’m going to interject with this: Paddy Up and Get Drinking!

(read on for my thoughts on PATTY!)

Ride Your Bike and Encourage Recycling at The Re-Cycle Parade

| 11/09/2011

Junk is now the new thing in music, art and parades. In this case, it takes center stage in The Re-Cycle that’s part of DC Week, an annual tech and design conference. Between November 6 and November 13, volunteers will construct a bicycle-powered float made from electronic waste and other scrap materials. The float is being constructed at BicycleSpace and it will lead The Re-Cycle procession on November 13 as it makes its way from the bike store at 459 I Street NW to the Arena Stage where the DC Week closing party is being held.
