The Brewer’s Ball is Back
The Annual Brewer’s Ball is back for it’s 8th running year. A craft beer & food tasting festival to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Brewer’s Ball is an all-inclusive occasion to sample handcrafted microbrews from more than two dozen of the region’s best microbreweries and brewpubs as well as some of the highest rated DC-area restaurants. This year’s event will feature live entertainment by The Congress and a silent auction featuring domestic and international trips, one of a kind experiences, memorabilia, gift certificates to local events, sporting events, restaurants and more.

Washington Wine Academy 1K BEER Walk
Everyone knows that drinking and driving is not a good idea, but drinking and walking? File that under “brilliant ideas.” The Washington Wine Academy in collaboration with the Crystal City Business Improvement District is launching their inaugural 1K Beer Walk through the shops of Crystal City. Counter the carbs you consume as you walk! But don’t break into a sweat just yet, that’s just over half a mile, and with a cool brew in hand, it’ll be a breeze.

Snow Day DC Holiday Bar Crawl
Snow or not, Snow Day DC is going to be the most epic bar crawl of the holiday season! Not only will this cheery drinking extravaganza include seven popular bars in DC, but it will also give you an excuse to do some good ‘ol fashioned day drinking on a cold winter day. Oktoberfest Beer Festival in Northern Virginia
It’s that time of year again! The time for pumpkin spice lattes, autumn comfort foods, layers of warm clothing, and last but not least, seasonal brews! Capitol City Brewing Co. is getting ready to host the largest Oktoberfest Beer Festival in Northern Virginia! The 12th annual Mid-Atlantic Oktoberfest will take place October 8th in Arlington, VA and will provide attendees with the music of an authentic German band and traditional Oktoberfest fair foods.
DC Beer Week is Brewing!
DC Beer Week is brewing at a bar near you from August 14 – 21, offering up the good stuff at themed events all over town. DCBeer seeks to “promote and grow the DC area’s craft beer culture through its locally focused beer website and its tasting and educational events”. Get Crackin’ Crab and Beer Festival at National Harbor
Yet another reason to head over to National Harbor, the Get Crackin’ festival will serve up beer, wine, arts & crafts, live music, and over 40,000 crabs! This time around the event organizers have scheduled two separate session in order to reduce capacity and eliminate any possible lines. You can taste all your tummy desires for a 4-hour time period with seating provided for all attendees to relax and enjoy the afternoon.
Beer and Cheese Tasting at Social Safeway
Who can resist beer and cheese when offered free and with expertise? Skip on over to Georgetown’s Social Safeway and saddle on up to the tasting bar for a sample flight of summer theme varieties from Sierra Nevada, Flying Dog and Sam Adams. Served with a side of cheese you can get your shopping done with a smile on.
Beer Dinner & Discussion
Enough of the wine dinners already, sometimes you just wanna talk beer. Head on over to BlackFinn on July 12th for their Tour of Americas event and get your fill of beer from regions all over America including Oregon, Charlottesville, Chicago and Hawaii. Your four-course dinner will be prepared with four paired beers in mind leaving you well-fed and watered by eves end!
4th Annual Northern Virginia Summer BrewFest
In the words of the great Homer…”Mmm..Beer”. Get your crew together for a BrewFest to drink about. This event will bring together 50 microbreweries and ample samples. Your admission covers the first few rounds with additional tastings for just $1. Live musicians like The Gypsy Sons, White Ford Bronco and Big Mouth will keep you jamming, while a marketplace full of local and regional vendors, crafters and artisans will tempt your purse strings.
