Throughout this fun packed month I wrote a note on Facebook seeking contributing writers to DCeventjunkie.com and was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response! Today I was honored to be awarded the virtual title of Best Local Tweeter 2011, as nominated by Metromix DC and voted by peers. This comes less than two months after a peer nomination and winning vote as ‘DC’s Favorite Nightlife Insider on Twitter’ on Washingtonpost.com. Coupled with the relaunch of my blog as an events website, it’s been a grrrreat week and a brilliant start to 2011.

In January, 2011, DCeventjunkie was voted by peers as ‘DC’s Favorite Nightlife Insider on Twitter’ on WashingtonPost.com. An interesting contest to say the least, but hey, a win’s a win – I’ll take them where I can get them! Surprisingly enough it set off a trend with a recent nomination by Metromix DC of WUSA9 for Best Local Tweeter 2011!
