USA Today, Host to Mashable’s US Summer Tour – DC
Today I had the honor of an inside peak of the USA Today headquarters, located in McLean, Virginia. My well-informed and wonderfully obliging tour guides were Brian Dresher, Manager, Social Media & Digital Partnerships and Jodi Gersh, Social Media and Content Manager for parent company, Gannett, Inc. My first time inside a media powerhouse I was blown away by many things – the gorgeous facilities including pond-side dining and a full-scale gym and salon, lines and lines of decked out cubicles (serious flare, serious!) and collaborative areas that breathe creative thinking.
Mashable declares June 30 Social Media Day, we’re on board!
Mashable, a popular source for social media news, has declared June 30 Social Media Day: A day to celebrate the revolution of media becoming social. According to their #smday website, as I post this there are 429 meetups listed and three in Washington DC. Anyone can host a meetup: choose a location, post your meetup, and start spreading the word throughout your social networks.
