Fashion’s Night Out in Good Taste and Health
Are you ready for Fashion Night Out Georgetown on September 8th? In line with this evening of fashionable fun the March of Dimes will be hosting an extra special event earlier on the same evening — a prelude to their upcoming Signature Chef’s Auction on November 16th. Before you hit the streets of Georgetown your presence is requested at Saks at Tysons Galleria for Fashion’s Night Out in Good Taste and Health. Georgetown Celebrates Fashion Night Out
Fashionable media-ites gathered last night to learn what to expect at this year’s Fashion‘s Night Out on September 8. With more than 80 participating stores, the 2011 experience will feature individual events at Georgetown stores led by members of the Fashion’s Night Out committee, which include Kate Michael of K Street Kate, Angie Goff from WUSA9, Samy K from Hot 99.5, Kelly Colis from 94.7 Fresh FM, and Phillipa Hughes of The Pink Line Project, to name a few. For the second year, the Fashion’s Night Out event will benefit Labels for Love, a charity founded by DC local Mary Amons (“Real Housewives of DC”) to raise awareness for local and national women’s and children’s causes, including Cancer Schmancer.

Savvy women shopping with intervals of luxurious pampering rituals, all the while networking with a cocktail in hand knowing your guilty pleasures are giving back to a wonderful organization and worthy cause…Now, that’s a win for DC women. The team of Beauty Night Out has gathered unique local spa and retailers, the latest trends in beauty, fashion and lifestyle products – and offers you access to it all in one place.
Shecky’s Girls Night Out is Back in DC!
In related news, Shecky’s returns to DC for their 10th Girls Night Out on March 29-30th, far more social than my daydream! This monstrous shopping event will feature beauty services and pampering galore, goodie bags with old and new delights, emerging designers and artisan jewelers, special shopping sections, event activities, and much, much more!
South Moon Under’s Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to Support Dress for Success
Shopping at South Moon Under is always a pleasure. It saves me weeding through racks at Nordstroms and offers a more relaxed clothing line than BCBG, my other two faves. What started as a small surf shop in Ocean City, Maryland has grown to 14 stores through Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware, offering a continuously fresh selection.
