The Clean Water Network’s Earth Day Celebration

The Clean Water Network’s Earth Day Celebration

| 03/15/2012

It’s hard to imagine what DC would look like if the city were not surrounded by water. There would be no sparking views of the Potomac from monuments, no canals to walk along in Georgetown, no falls to dip your toes in on the Billy Goat Trail and no hope of continued restoration and revitalization along the Anacostia.

So come celebrate the natural resource that makes our city so enjoyable with the Clean Water Network at the coalition’s Earth Day Celebration. The event, which will also commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Clean Water Act, one of our nation’s landmark environmental laws, will take place on Sunday, April 22 from 3:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at 1st and Potomac Avenue, SE.

Logan Tavern to Deck the Walls Green for Paddy’s Day

Logan Tavern to Deck the Walls Green for Paddy’s Day

| 02/18/2012

It’s a rare partying soul not reveling in all things Irish on St. Patrick’s Day — specifically the sport of drinking, which apparently the world thinks we have mastered. Not to be left out, Logan Tavern will be blasting Irish tunes, serving up traditional fare, and pouring beer specials till your eyes turn green.

Wear green and choose from a free appetizer, dessert, or Stoli doly shot…If you’re thinking that now’s the time to check out their Warm Bittersweet Chocolate Fudge Cake you’ve been drooling over I’m going to interject with this: Paddy Up and Get Drinking!
