Foursquare Day is Back and We’re Taking YOU Offline!
Check in to kstreet lounge with DCeventjunkie and Sisarina on Monday, April 16th as we join others around the world in celebration of Foursquare Day. Local social souls and technophiles will gather from 5-8 PM where the first 100 drinks are compliments of my team at Pappas Group! Better yet, we’ll have the entire venue (AND outdoor patio) to ourselves.

Events like last night remind me why I do what I do. Over 250 local social media enthusiasts gathered on Ozio’s rooftop to celebrate what Mashable declared as Social Media Day. This is the second year that Sisarina and DCeventjunkie have hosted this event and the good times just get better! Brian Dresher, Director of Business Development for Mashable, was in attendance and threw some branded swag my way. I’ve got 2 water bottles, a tee-shirt and a couple of bandanas up for grabs – just leave a comment to tell me what Social Media Day means to you. SpokeSignal, a new DC startup, bought the first 200 drinks getting the party off to a magnificent start. Mashable’s Social Media Day 2011 in DC
If you weren’t at the Science Club last June 30th you missed one hell of an event! Sisarina’s crew and myself gathered over 200 local social media enthusiasts to celebrate what Mashable declared as Social Media Day. Never fear, no doubt we are doing it again! This time we’re taking over Ozio’s new rooftop and will have Happy Hour specials extended until 9:00 PM.

Mashable declares June 30 Social Media Day, we’re on board!
Mashable, a popular source for social media news, has declared June 30 Social Media Day: A day to celebrate the revolution of media becoming social. According to their #smday website, as I post this there are 429 meetups listed and three in Washington DC. Anyone can host a meetup: choose a location, post your meetup, and start spreading the word throughout your social networks.
